Okay so...

This morning Dax and I went to the Dentist and haven't been in over two years. Needless to say, we needed a cleaning. My teeth feel delightfully clean and slippery. I love that. However. I have two cavities, and a broken porcelin filling that now has a cavity under it that I have to get taken care of. AND, Dax has 3 cavities... and like 7 fillings that need to be replaced because it has been 20 years since they have been in and they are only supposed to last 12 years. Apparently they are seeping. (disgusting I know). So, the tally for the out of pocket expenses for all of this, after our insurance, is close to $1,900. Oh my gosh, I can't even comprehend how much money that is for our teeth. DIES!!!! Other than that... the big news is that it is snowing! Big beautiful globs of snow. It is melting pretty fast... but it is pretty to watch it coming down. An old friend

I got a call from a friend that I haven't heard from for over 4 years! She is one that had never even kissed a guy the last I had spoken to her and she was 26 years old at the time. I had sworn her to be single forever... she was way quirkey... and ultra weird around guys. But, when she called me... (she saw me in the alumni magazine, googled me and called)... she said that she is married with TWO kids! I am so excited for her... and she sounds so settled in her life. It was fun to tell her of the changes in me since the last time I have seen her too. Marriage, movie, running the marathon, etc. It was great to hear from her. She lives in the DC area... and we are planning to get together after the holidays. I quickly put a Christmas card in the mail to her. Yay for old friends that make an effort to get in touch. I also sent a Christmas card to a friend who has sent me one for the longest time... like every year for the last 5 years... and I meant to send her one, but never did. I buried the hatched today and sent her a card, with my cell to get in touch and see if we can talk it out. Not much, and maybe nothing will come of it.. but at least I tried. buy prednisone
